Last night Las Vegas police arrested two men and a woman for an alleged kidnapping and carjacking at the Best Buy located at 6950 Arroyo Crossing. Police believe the two men had approached a store employee just before 6 a.m. and forced him to drive them to an ATM. Then they left him at a convenience store before fleeing in the victim's four-door Dodge sedan.
Police claim late last night they spotted the Dodge in the northwest valley, after which the two men and woman inside tried to run away by foot. Police took them into custody following a brief chase. The police have yet to identify the suspects.
"Physical evidence is important in a case like this," Las Vegas criminal defense attorney Michael Becker commented. "If there is no video surveillance or impartial witness testimony matching the people who were arrested to the people who allegedly kidnapped the victim, the state may have a hard time proving guilt."
