North Las Vegas 18-year old arrested for having gun at school

Posted by Neil Shouse | Jan 23, 2018 | 0 Comments

Yesterday police arrested 18-year-old Legacy High School senior Francisco Maldonado for allegedly possessing a dangerous weapon on school property. He was allegedly carrying an unloaded firearm in his backpack. An adult reportedly tipped off the cops.

According to reports, Moldonado never made any threats or endangered any students. However, he faces not only criminal charges but also expulsion. He was booked at the Clark County Detention Center.

"We have no idea if or how the gun got there. Perhaps it was planted," commented Las Vegas criminal defense attorney Michael Becker about this case. "If the state cannot prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt, Moldonado should not be convicted."
