Three arrested for allegedly beating up Subway clerk and stealing his car

Posted by Neil Shouse | Jan 30, 2018 | 0 Comments

Early this morning three suspects allegedly beat up a Subway clerk at 7040 S. Durango Dr. and stole his 2014 Toyota. The three suspects--two men and a woman--had reportedly ordered food but left without paying. When the clerk confronted them outside, they allegedly battered him and took his car keys from his pocket.

The stolen Toyota was later located at the Rio hotel. The police then caught the three suspects following a foot chase. The clerk was not hospitalized since his injuries were minor.

"The three suspects will likely face charges of battery, auto theft, conspiracy, and shoplifting," said Las Vegas criminal defense attorney Michael Becker about this case. "But it may be possible to get the charges reduced or possibly dismissed as part of a plea deal, especially if there were no weapons involved or videotape of the incident. The D.A. may be willing to negotiate a favorable deal in order to avoid trial."
