Timothy Haas arrested for DUI causing death in Las Vegas

This morning 26-year-old Timothy Haas was arrested in Las Vegas for DUI causing death. He allegedly was driving a 2006 Dodge Durango and caused a collision with a 2014 Dodge Dart, which resulted in the death of a 29-year old driver. The incident occurred near Rainbow and Lake Mead Boulevards. Haas was booked at the Clark County Detention Center.

"There are many possible defenses to a charge of DUI causing death," commented Las Vegas criminal defense attorney Michael Becker about the case. "Perhaps the defendant was not impaired by drugs or alcohol. Or perhaps the police's breath and blood testing systems were faulty. Or perhaps the accident did not result from the defendant's actions. A thorough investigation is needed to determine the available evidence."
