Most well known for its legal brothels, Pahrump is the largest town in Nye County, Nevada, and is located about sixty miles west of Las Vegas. Because it is an unincorporated town, Pahrump has only a justice court and no municipal court.

If you are charged with a traffic citation or misdemeanor in Pahrump, your entire case will be handled in Pahrump Justice Court.
If you are charged with a felony in Pahrump, your case may eventually be "bound over" (transferred) to Nye County District Court, located in the same building as Pahrump Justice Court and reachable at (775) 482-8141.

You may not enter a courtroom in Pahrump Justice Court wearing sunglasses, tank tops, shirts bearing your midriff, shorts, or clothing with inappropriate words.
You also may not eat, drink, or chew gum in Pahrump Justice Court. And you may not bring weapons inside of the courtrooms.
Also make sure to turn off your cell phones before entering any courtroom in Pahrump Justice Court. Otherwise, the judge will slap you with a $25 sanction and contempt charge.

You can pay bail at the Pahrump Jail twenty-four hours a day or at the Pahrump Justice Court during business hours. The jail accepts only cash and bail bonds.
