Teenage boy killed by SUV near Desert Breeze Park

Posted by Neil Shouse | Mar 01, 2018 | 0 Comments

Last night at approximately 7:15 pm, a white Land Rover allegedly struck and killed a 14-year-old boy near Desert Breeze Park in west Las Vegas. The 34-year-old SUV driver was reportedly northbound and collided with the boy while he was crossing Durango Dr. at Spring Mountain Rd. Several witnesses claimed that the boy was crossing against the signal. The SUV driver was not impaired or exceeding the speed limit.

"This is a tragic case. Even if the victim did cross when he was not supposed to, it may be possible for his family to win a wrongful death suit against the driver," commented Las Vegas personal injury attorney Michael Becker about the case. "If the driver was at least 50% responsible for the accident, the boy's family may be able to recover compensatory and possibly punitive damages."
