Bicyclist Gomez Rosas died after being hit by truck in Las Vegas

On Monday a flatbed truck driving north on Mel Torme Way along Sammy Davis Jr. Dr. hit 22-year-old bicyclist Jonathan Gomez Rosas. The collision caused the bike to flip, and then a shuttle bus reportedly hit the bicyclist before driving away. Gomez Rosas was rushed to University Medical Center, where he died.

"The victim's family could have a wrongful death case against flatbed truck driver, the shuttle bus driver, and possibly the companies they work for," suggested Las Vegas personal injury attorney Michael Becker. "In car accident cases, the victim's family would need to show that the defendants were negligent. Depending on the case, the family could be entitled to compensatory and punitive damages."
