The good news and bad knews about pedestrian accidents in Nevada
The bad news is, Clark County is set to have the most pedestrian knockdown deaths this year since 1994 (when we started keeping score). The good news is, Southern Nevada transit authorities are planning to do something about it…
In the next few years, expect two new pedestrian bridges on the Strip: One connecting the MGM Grand and Monte Carlo, and the other linking Paris with Bellagio. Currently underway is a pedestrian bridge near the East Beltway Trail.
Also coming are pedestrian crossing signals at Maryland Pkwy and Del Mar St. as well as Eastern Ave. and Maul Ave. Additionally, various stretches of major streets are being upgraded, including Charleston Blvd., the North Strip, and Lake Mead Bldv. (Information from the Review-Journal)
