This past Wednesday, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested 27-year-old Johan Eduardo Espinoza-Felix at The Palms for allegedly selling heroin to police officers four times. The day of his arrest, he reportedly agreed to meet with an undercover officer to sell him drugs. Through a search warrant of an apartment on Twain and Swenson, police found 225.6 grams of heroin and nearly $30,000 in cash. Espinoza-Felix is currently at the Clark County Detention Center on $250,000 bail for five trafficking charges.
"Although Nevada has some of the toughest drug laws around, it may be possible to get the charges reduced or dismissed," commented Las Vegas criminal defense attorney Michael Becker. "Especially if the defendant agrees to cooperate with police and help them find other suspects, prosecutors may be willing to offer favorable plea deals that keep the defendant out of prison."
