Scooter driver hospitalized after being hit by vehicle on Sunset Road

Earlier today, a westbound vehicle allegedly hit a motorized scooter on Sunset Rd. near Pecos Rd. in southeast Las Vegas. The scooter driver was reportedly hospitalized following the collision. Police responded at 3:45 a.m., and the vehicle driver is reportedly cooperating with authorities.

"Depending on the case, the scooter driver may have a negligence per se lawsuit against the vehicle driver," posited Las Vegas personal injury attorney Michael Becker. "If it can be shown that the car accident happened because the vehicle driver breached his duty of care towards the scooter driver, the scooter driver may be able to recover hefty compensatory and perhaps punitive damages."
