Las Vegas police arrest 32-year-old man passed-out in vehicle with semi-automatic rifle and ammunition

Wednesday afternoon, Las Vegas Metropolitan police arrested 32-year-old Jeremy Karsh after finding him unconscious in his running vehicle with a semi-automatic rifle and ammunition. The vehicle was in a parking lot on the 3000 block of East Desert Inn Road. Karsh was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on $5,000 bail for DUI and three counts of possession of a gun while under the influence.

"There are many possible defenses to DUI charges," commented Las Vegas criminal defense attorney Michael Becker about this case. "Simply being passed out is not 'under the influence.' And if he was passed out, perhaps he was unable to perform the field sobriety tests so quickly after awakening."
