Karina Barrett, Paralegal
Las Vegas Defense Group, L.L.C.

Se habla español. Ever since Karina Barrett earned her Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Everest College, she has dutifully assisted attorneys in a wide array of practice areas including bankruptcy, family law, personal injury, immigration, and criminal defense in Nevada and California. From her previous experience working at the U.S. Law Center and with document preparation services, Karina gained fluency in the mountain of paperwork that can seem overwhelming and intimidating to anyone seeking legal services. Karina is especially passionate about helping our Spanish-speaking clientele stay informed, educated, and empowered throughout the criminal defense and immigration processes in Nevada. Of her own experiences, she said:

My mother and brother are both immigrants. I have seen firsthand the struggles that immigrants face everyday and the fear that they live with everyday. They are working jobs that pay close to nothing for long hours and are given absolutely no benefits. They drive in fear of being pulled over and losing everything that they have worked so hard for. I like to help immigrants of all kinds. They may not have the knowledge nor education to help themselves, and many of them are constantly being robbed of their money and hopes. Las Vegas Defense Group and I are here for them.
