The only way to find out if someone is in custody at the Beatty Jail is to phone the jail at (775) 553-2345. Currently, the jail does not provide any inmate information online.

3. Bail procedures at the Beatty Jail

The Beatty Sheriff's Substation is open twenty-four hours a day to take bail. People may post cash bail or use a bondsmen. The list of acceptable bail bondsmen changes on a daily basis. Call the Beatty District Court at (775) 553-2951 for the names of acceptable bail bondsmen.

Beatty Holding Facility inmates may receive visits anytime from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All visits are conducted through glass. It is recommended that visitors call ahead to schedule a visit, but it is not required. The jail phone number is (775) 553-2345.

Beatty Holding Facility inmates are not allowed to receive incoming calls. However, they are given opportunities through the week to place outgoing collect calls.

Note that the Beatty Holding Facility has no commissary because it is so small. However, inmates may authorize a law enforcement officer to use the money in their accounts to buy them food, toiletries or stationary from the local drugstore.

Inmates may release their property to an outside person as long as both parties fill out the proper paperwork. The outside person should call the Beatty Jail at (775) 553-2345 for instructions.

9. Medical Assistance for people in custody at the Beatty Jail

The Sheriff's Substation does not keep healthcare workers on staff. Inmates in need of medical assistance are taken to a local hospital.
