Investigator Gilbert Quinonez spent 31 years with the Long Beach Police
Department before retiring to do defense work. During his police career,
his assignments included patrol, narcotics, Homicide Detective, Criminal
Intelligence, and later he served as Director of the Long Beach Crime
Lab. As Crime Lab Director, he oversaw toxicology, fingerprint, firearms,
forensic and crime-scene analysis. Investigator Quinonez graduated
with an M.A. in Criminal Justice from California State University,
Long Beach. He speaks fluent Spanish.
