Cameron Bowman
With over 100 jury trials under his belt, California Criminal Defense Lawyer Cameron Bowman represents clients in cases ranging from DUI to special circumstances murder.
He has particular expertise defending clients who have been charged with domestic violence, sex crimes, gang-related crimes, white-collar offenses and homicide.
Mr. Bowman spent 16 years as a deputy district attorney with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. As a D.A., he tried numerous high-profile cases and worked on everything from "cold cases" to prison gang cases.
In 1998, Bowman was named Santa Clara County’s Trial Attorney of the Year.
A triathlete in his free time, Bowman goes the extra mile for his clients. He takes the time to listen to and investigate their side of the story. He aggressively fights for his clients in court, and in appropriate cases, he brings his tenacity to the negotiating table to work out a favorable deal.
As a former prosecutor, Bowman can anticipate the district attorney’s next move – giving his clients an important tactical advantage in mounting an effective defense.
Bowman is certified on the use of the Preliminary Alcohol Screening ("PAS") machine used by California law enforcement agencies in cases of alleged DUI/DWI. He’s given presentations on gang enhancements and “three-strikes” issues.
Bowman represents clients throughout Northern California. On a regular basis, he tries cases in the Santa Clara, Contra Costra, San Francisco and Alameda County courthouses, among others.
